Q. Can I really do it myself, or is that just something you say to get signups?
A. It really is easy to set up your PrimeSite yourself. If you've ever purchased anything online using forms, you can slug in all the personalization information easily. If you've ever used any modern Word Processing program, you can manage the content on your web pages.
While the extras such as the Product Catalog and Calendar Event Listing require a bit more familiarization, the majority of our clients pick up PrimeSite's processes quite easily.
Even if you are ready to give it a try, you still need to have a grasp of how to format images for the web, and some general understanding of the fact that websites aren't designed like print media. For more information on this, you can try these handy links:

Q. How can PrimeSite offer so much for so little?
A. The PrimeSite system is a unique proprietary setup that handles all accounts within one system. When a user accesses your domain, they see only your site and it's details. When you log in to make adjustments to your site, you see only YOUR pages and details. For this reason, PrimeSite is the perfect small business/organization web system - especially if you are starting up and funds are tight.
Your domain can be pointed from any registrar to our server IP address, leaving you to keep track of your own emails and extras you already have attached to your domain, and keeping full access to your domain record.
So PrimeSite can provide a great deal with your hosting and website system rolled into one!

Q. What happens if my site grows?
A. If your site is growing, that usually means your business is growing, and that's a great problem to have... Since there are no site page limitations, you should never see any problems with that type of growth, however, you can add additional webspace to your PrimeSite account to handle the extra images or files you may need to add to your site pages, Product Catalog or Calendar Event Listing. This can be done easily from the Manage Account tab on your configuration page, or you can add extra webspace when you sign up for your PrimeSite account. You can have a maximum of 250MB for your account and you only pay one time to set up extra space.
In individual cases, we can give clients even more headroom on their webspace if necessary.
Regarding traffic to your site, PrimeSite has more than enough resources to insure everyone gets a fair amount of bandwidth to accommodate their needs.

Q. Are changes I make to my PrimeSite real-time and instant?
A. Yes, all the changes you make to your PrimeSite account, whether colors, menu tiles or personalization information are instant as soon as you select Update Configuration. Site page changes are instant as soon as you select Update Page.
For major revisions on site pages, we suggest you make a copy of the page you are editing, HIDE that page from the public and work on it. When everything is to your liking, SHOW the page, then renumber it to replace the existing page you started with.

Q. Do I need to worry about backing up my PrimeSite?
A. The PrimeSite system is backed up daily, so as a general rule, you won't need to worry about keeping any copies yourself. The PrimeSite system, however, is not intended for "mission-critical" sites (sites that may result in lost revenues if unavailable for a period of time), and our Terms of Service reflects that while we'll do everything possible to insure your site is always running, we can't make that type of guarantee since many performance issues may be out of our control.

Q. Can you set my PrimeSite up for me? I can make changes later as I need...
A. Certainly! PrimeSite was created out of a need for clients to take control of their own websites and their own maintenance needs, so it only stands to reason that we can configure your PrimeSite for you if you simply do not have time to delve head-first into it. In fact, most of our accountholders like this setup and opt for a Custom Design as well to give their PrimeSite a truly unique appearance.
The option of adding Initial Configuration and Custom Designs can be found during the signup process...

Q. What happens if I get stuck while trying to manage my PrimeSite account?
A. The PrimeSite system features a robust Help section (found in the header of your Site Settings page). Practically everything you need to know about making site changes to your system can be found here. Should you experience issues that aren't covered in the Help system, you can contact us directly at customer.support@primesitelive.com (please note the fastest responses are Monday thru Friday, 9am to 5pm CST).
If the LIVE SUPPORT icon shows below, you can also click that for instant chat help with your PrimeSite!...

Q. Can I use ANY domain with my PrimeSite account?
A. The PrimeSite system is set up to use most of the major "top level domains" available such as .com, .net, .org, .info, .us, etc. Other top level domains, such as those recently adopted within the ICANN standard, can be added at no charge by request.
You can use multiple domains as long as the only difference is the "Top Level Domain" (such as yoursite.com, yoursite.net, etc) If you have DIFFERENT multiple domains that you wish to point to your PrimeSite, you will need to enable "web forwarding" to get those alternate domains to reference your PrimeSite account domain.
Simply point your A RECORD (WWW) of your domain to 68.178.186.24 using advanced DNS...

Q. What part of PrimeSite do I own when I set up a new account?
A. As a client, you own the files and images you have uploaded to the PrimeSite system. You also own the content you've placed on your pages. You are given a license to use the PrimeSite system software. Just like using any program, you don't actually own it, but are free to use it as you wish with the license.
Because the PrimeSite system is publicly and commercially available "software", as a purchaser, you are bound by certain Terms of Service and restrictions that are made available for your review in the signup process. All clients must accept the TOS before continuing their purchase and setup. From time to time, these TOS may change, so each client is encouraged to review the TOS from the Manage Account section of the PrimeSite configuration page.

Q. How often is the PrimeSite system upgraded?
A. As often as possible, usually. Most of the time client interaction prompts updates to the processes of the PrimeSite system. Other times we find that while we configure sites for select clients, we can come up with a more efficient way to handle a process, or simply make it easier for our clients to work with the system.
Generally, updates are posted on our TechSupport Forum and we encourage all accountholders to subscribe to this forum to receive regular notification of updates.

Q. How long does it take to set up my PrimeSite?
A. Upon payment, all PrimeSite accounts are instantly available, however, you must then insure that your domain points to the PrimeSite web server. New accountholders must point their A RECORD (WWW) using advanced DNS to our server at 68.178.186.24 in order to activate their PrimeSite account. This can take anywhere up to 24 hours depending on the registrar used.

Q. What happens if I need to shut down my PrimeSite?
A. While we regret to see any client leave PrimeSite, we understand that certain instances warrant clients closing their PrimeSite account. Maybe your site has just outgrown the PrimeSite specifications, or maybe you have decided you want to get your site hosted elsewhere. Maybe you simply didn't get out of the PrimeSite system what you had hoped. (In any of these cases, feel free to contact PrimeSite Web Solutions LLC, the developer of PrimeSite for a custom solution).
Clients set up their PrimeSites by paying for their first year up front. Because of setup costs associated with a new PrimeSite account, your current year's fees cannot be refunded to you, however, simply do nothing and your PrimeSite will expire on your anniversary date. If your situation is that you have shut down your business and need to make your PrimeSite unavailable immediately, contact us to render your site inactive for you. It will not be automatically renewed on your anniversary date.
If your intentions are to move your web presence to another designer or host, simply modify your A RECORD (WWW) to point to the new service you require. Out of courtesy, please also do notify us of this change so that we can disable your old PrimeSite and make room for our other accountholders.
